Today we were given our next project, the dichotomous duo project.
Our brief is to concept 2 characters and model one, however who the characters are or where they come from, this gives me a lot of free way to experiment with ideas. For now I was thinking of “broad strokes vs details”
The main part of this theme is that there are 2 artists from a fantasy world, both are artists who approach their craft in 2 distinct but linked ways. The first one is a young man who uses bold stokes and pays no attention to small details, he would look quite rugged but also relatively aristocratic and eccentric to represent his background as a noble. The you woman would be far neater with almost flawless makeup and hair, but very tired eyes, she would be the kind of artist who focuses only on details so much so that they tire themselves out over small things, constable wanting perfection.
The world itself is a fantasy would with its athletics being a mix of 1920s, Victorian era clothes and rococo fashion; the 3 distinct styles of clothing is used to illuminate the stark divide of classes in this world. (Not to mention I just like the fashion of these eras and I want to blend them together)
(below is the mood boards that I made to do this project)
