26 putting the music in
Without sound, our game is a god damn horror game, seriously.
Puck just sits there, gazing at the player, swimming his legs, unblinking; the surrounding dark forest offers nothing but silence, as you see puck in the shadows, in the darkness.
Thank god we have sounds now. Charlie’s brother was kind enough to supply music to our level, and Eva has some nature sounds she recorded at the park so the forest seems to have some life, with changes the whole mood of the level.
Then Hanna’s fiancé was kind enough to give pucks a voice, which we are using to help direct the player, and it’s absolutely amazing just how much character it gives puck, it makes him seem more alive and more cheeky.
I am personally just creating more assets and helping out with sculpting the terrain, but nothing much of note, I just wanted to post how much sound makes a difference.
