First thing to say
I used weird and wonderful brushes this time (not just the default circle) as per my tutors recommendations!
With that done, onwards to the actual review!
Wine, this one was entertaining to do, I think it’s a one of the only texture sphere to give me an excuse to go out for a drink with friends. How liquids refract and reflect is quite surreal to watch if one can stand the odd and worried glances from other patrons. But in all seriousness, I like it, could have been better with my glass reflection but it’s not real the main focus on the study. Next time I’ll add a bit more saturated colour around the edges maybe a few more splatters?
The bubble! His was oddly enlightening, I learned a lot about the liquidly tool in Photoshop working on this one! I think I did a good job on this, however next time I’ll have to make it more reflective and add the appropriate colours as this looks a bit too dull right now
Gold, I’m happy with this one, the colours were difficult to capture but it works. I think the metal is a bit too glossy, next time I’ll make the reflection at the bottom a warmer yellow/ orange colour as when light hits metal, its difficult for it to reflect a different colour (at least that’s my observation? I could be completely wrong)
A single egg. Eggs are unusual things, the only way I can really describe it as is porcine skin, the same colour, with very slight pores/texture and random marks. It was fun, but I fear I was far too gentle with my shading, making it look a tad ethereal.
This was meant to be latex…It went wrong, oh so wrong. The reflections are wrong, I worked far too much into it, there are too many stretch lines and the lighting is just. Just no. But it’s over, maybe I’ll come back to it one day!
